About Rockhampton and Where to Stay

Rockhampton is one of Australia’s largest regional cities and is recognised as the Beef Capital of Australia. Known for its impressive heritage buildings, bull statues and close proximity to the Capricorn Coast and Southern Great Barrier Reef, the region is a popular tourism and business destination.

GETTING THERE

Rockhampton is serviced by both QANTAS and Virgin Australia with several flights to and from Brisbane every day. The Queensland Rail Tilt Train also services Rockhampton daily, stopping at all major stations between Brisbane and Cairns.

WHERE TO STAY

Conference delegates are responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements. However, conference organisers have arranged accommodation packages and special rates at hotels on the north side of Rockhampton, all within close proximity to the conference venue, CQUniversity.
