The 2016 RUN Regional Futures Conference will run for four days from Tuesday, 21 June – Friday 24 June 2016.
The conference program has been designed to offer delegates a number of unique learning experiences including site tours, workshops, expert speaking sessions, panel discussions and networking events. Click on the image below to find out more!
Conference delegates will have the opportunity to attend an optional site tour within the Rockhampton region, prior to the official start of the conference. The tours on offer to delegates include:
- The CQUniversity Health Clinic
- Great Keppel Island Tour*
Tours will take place on Tuesday, 21 June 2016 and will be subject to availability and minimum group numbers.
*This tour will incur an additional charge on top of conference registration fees.
CQUniversity will host three pre-conference workshops to interested delegates, prior to the official start of the conference. The focus of these workshops will be on engagement, art and research and will be facilitated by CQUniversity experts. All workshops will be free to attend.
This theme will explore the many ways to bring about regional prosperity including industry development, entrepreneurship, education and innovation.
This theme will explore the importance of rural and regional sustainability related to the future of Australia and will focus on a range of areas including industry development, environmental issues and community development.
This theme will focus on the many health issues impacting regional Australia and how communities can overcome these through the implementation of innovative health solutions, education and preventative measures.
This theme will focus on the digital revolution, what this means for regional Australia and how regional communities can benefit from connectivity, technology industries and the use of digital platforms.
This topic will explore how social, cultural and creative activities can be established in regional Australia and the positive impacts these activities can have on regional communities.
The conference will offer delegates a number of opportunities to network with their peers and establish new contacts. Opportunities will include a welcome reception, conference dinner and breakfast on the last day of the conference. All networking events are included in the conference registration fee.
