As part of the conference, organisers are offering delegates an opportunity to participate in several optional site tours which will take place on Tuesday, 21 June 2016 (the day prior to the official opening of the conference). The tours have been designed to showcase best practice regional innovation and enterprise.
Great Keppel Island Day Tour
This tour will allow delegates the opportunity to experience the largest island on the Capricorn Coast, located on Queensland Southern Great Barrier Reef. The tour will allow participants to learn more about the importance of regional tourism in the local area and how the industry operates within this unique environment. Delegates will also learn more about the history of the island and get to see local marine wildlife up close. The tour includes a cruise, morning tea and lunch.
Cost: $130 (includes tour, transfers and meals)
Times: 9.30 am – Bus departs from CQUniversity to Rosslyn Bay Marina
10.30 am – Tour departs from Rosslyn Bay Marina
3 pm – Tour concludes
4 – 4.30 pm – Transfers back to CQUniversity
CQUniversity Health Clinic
The CQUniversity Health Clinic is a public access clinic with state-of-the-art health facilities. It delivers a practical learning environment for students and a range of health services which are available to CQUniversity staff and students as well as the general public. This facility is a working partnership with the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS).
Tour participants will have the opportunity to learn about the services delivered by the clinic and the impact these have on the community and will also get to tour the state-of-the-art facilities.
